10 Black Content Creators That Deserve Your Applause
So, in an effort to underline the fact that we will always continue to #amplifymelanatedvoices, I wanted to share some of the black creators that have really inspired my creative journey as an influencer and content creator. All of these black women have done an incredible job in paving the way for diversity in the creative and beauty industry, as well as educating those that come after them.
When I first started this blog, I knew nothing about nothing about nothing. And the only way that I was learning was what I was seeing in the industry — white bloggers and their “this” and “that” instagram names playing the game. And it wasn’t until I really started growing in myself as a content creator that I actually realized and understood that there is so much to the influencer industry and community then what was monopolizing it. That’s when I really started tapping into other influencers, and where I found a community of black bloggers and content creators who were serving so much style and spice and melanin. And I loved it, and it really allowed me to own who I am as a person and bring that to my blog.
So please, take a moment to stop by their platform, honor them, give them a follow, and soak up this beautiful black girl magic.
And give them some much-needed applause.
Jackie Aina
For all things beauty and hair, if you haven’t seen the famous Jackie Aina on your youtube screen, then you seriously have some evaluating to do. She is a powerhouse black woman that isn’t afraid to speak up for the injustice she experiences and sees. She has a pledge to authenticity as well as to the people of color around her. She often hosts platforms to highlight others as well as other entrepreneurs and boss babes. Standing ovation right here.
Courtney Quinn
If content creation is the game, Courtney pioneered it. Her content features bright colors and creative stop motion videos that are so nicely done. Courtney taught me the art of diving into your creativity and taking risks, even if nobody else is doing it. She is always very open about what she makes, and her authenticity is palpable through the screen. Claps for this queen!
Mattie James
I found Mattie James when I was originally creating my blog, and she served as all things inspiration and guide for me then as much as she does now! Mattie is a lifestyle blogger and content creator that has her own consulting business and helps people turn their brands into profitable businesses! She is so real and authentic and I love her work.
Coco Bassey
Coco Bassey founder of Millennielle has a beautiful brand a blog to match. Doused in style and perfection, this boss babe has established her headquarters in the fashion influencer industry and has made her mark. Follow her for some beautiful melanin on your TL and fashion inspo.
Aysha Sow
I found Aysha through another influencer and haven’t turned back since. Her incredible content and dedication to woman of color have her in my top 10 black boss babes. She also gives great advice on building your brand as a content creator and woman of color. Which definitely deserves an applause just on that alone.
Tacha J.
Tach is one of the first black influencers I started to follow. She has an eye for aesthetics and making things come together, great fashion, beauty, and hair content for women of colors, and a warm personality. Her instagram is full of such chill and beautiful vibes and always makes me want to stay for awhile.
Morgan Harper Nichols
If writing is a gift, then Morgan Harper Nichols was blessed. Her words stretch far beyond her and have hit platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, Google images, and everywhere else you seek inspiration. She has an incredible ability of writing with so much grace and peace you literally feel God’s spirit comforting you. And she uses her platform not only to highlight her writing, but share the voice of other creators, through interviews that serve as a basis for her artwork. She is absolutely killing the game !
Patricia Bright
Patricia Bright’s personality, her vibe, and her dedication to authenticity no matter what comes to play is why we are highlighting this amazing black boss babe. She’s very versatile and driven, and expanded her makeup and fashion YouTube channel now to The Break Platform which talks about finance and personal development. Give this girl your attention and applause!
Oyin
Oyin was one of the first black bloggers and content creators that I followed when I started my blog. I reached out to her because I was so impressed with her page and I wanted to see if she could give me tips on how to grow and the blogging world. She was so open and happy to help, and gave me such actionable steps and encouragement a long the way. It has truly been incredible to see her grow these past 2 years into the content creator and blogger she is today.
kianna nnaomi
Kianna is one of my favorite youtubers who I’ve been following for a couple years. Not only does she make great content, but she also is true to herself, knows her worth, and isn’t afraid to speak up about diversity issues in the influencer and content creator space. She also has a great vibe and her vlogs are so nicely done - check out her Fiji one! Give her alllll the accolades!

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
